Two venues in one, the Uni'  was the main OXFORD Road presence prior to the opening of its sister venue, the Academy.

MDH & Hop & Grape:

The Main Debating Hall offers similar facilities to the Academy and deals with the same level of touring band.

However, hidden upstairs is a cracking venue, which unfortunately gets a too infrequent airing. Here resides the Hop & Grape – small bar at one end and a cracking stage at the other – There have been some very intimate and exciting gigs here – If you get the opportunity, it’s the best place to see your favourite band.
