Released on the excellent AC30 label, Heroes Of Switzerland are a loud and cinematic band who stretch their guitars to the very edges of the horizon. In the case of “Wish It Away” everything cascades into thick translucent walls of distortion cut apart by rumbling bass lines and intermittent jangles. “Wonderland” is pure c86 with the guitar chords bent by tremolo actions and dreamy vocal lines - but with the Heroes in town there’s always a muscular climax lurking around, which they deliver as much as anything, to their own delight.
