About This Site

The website was established in September 1999 and was Manchester’s first ever, comprehensive and regular online music review publication. It is now the regions and one of the UK’s, largest music only review website.

Musicdash / ManchesterMusic is a registered non-profit limited company, run by volunteers and a host of contributors who freely give their time and to whom we are eternally grateful. The website is currently, entirely self funded, with any income generated by our activities, re-invested directly back to the group, without any remuneration made to its Directors.

The organisation has been established on a brief of co-operation and direct pro-active involvement with the local music scene and emerging creative industries.

The site has been supported by the Manchester City Music Network and The Performing Right Society Foundation - we would like to acknowledge their pro-active and unconditional support. The website supports the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and Love Music Hate Racism, amongst many other good things.
