POLITBURO
“Jagged
locked-on staccato space rock nu-wave forward
movement. They're from Manchester and you can taste the surging Joy Division
freshness... bruising...seething...beautiful...this is so so
bleak and good and in need of no more words - just go get it, it's the drug
you'll need to help you sleep or see the TV or something like that, whatever
the eye sees the hand must take for this is the day....”
STRANGER SON OF WB
“ From the first exclamation onward it’s Fall
noise of the most determined persuasion. Simple yet exquisitely atonal riffing with thumping basslines
create a clanking melange of noise and when the moment calls for it, things
step up a gear. Buzzing distorted bass brings “Drama” up to a new level of
menace. Guitars switch to a Kevin Shields level of density. Serious saxophone
abuse creates a
seemingly, sphere of jazz pastiche. “
DANNY SAUL
The Tsuji Giri sonic
master, has by contrast, been showcasing some if the most wonderful songs ever - a… “distinctive guitar style that’s
dense, melodic and sharp in equal measure providing a lush background to some
insightful lyrics……his smart melodies and vocal rhythms carry things along
swimmingly”
