WORKING FOR A NUCLEAR
FREE CITY
"Retro dance beats and some
neat Guitar Vs Synth bleeds, strangles and flat down the line ace noises... An instrumental package, but
one that sparkles, bounces and vibrates with fantastically simple,
fantastic sounds. These
are instant theme tunes, little soundtracks and bursts of activity that make
WFANF absolutely worth watching. Whilst peers loom slightly higher in the
“watch this” stakes, methinks that WFANFC can easily slip in, under cover of
night and smuggle out that trophy of “Gonna Be” for 2005. ..... a
head wrangling
inspiration (ManchesterMusic.Co.Uk)
YENA VELDT
"Moments of sheer
noise, with moments of sheer pop" (HIGH VOLTAGE) "Frantic guitars in
a death pact with a four armed drummer as the kind of mockney, spoken and spat
vox slips up the motorway" (UNPEELED) "Shades of artcore, hardcore
& weirdcore going down chez Yena Veldt – but to simply write a list of
possible influences would be missing the point. The point: Yena Veldt are
making their art on their own terms - & it has nothing to do with the cult
of personality over relevance. Yena Veldt are fully formed & waiting to
perplex & excite you at the same time" (TMx).

Loose Canon provide sure fire melodies and spikey, buzzing guitars, from a
lo-fi party world of basement fun.
