ManchesterMusic.Co.Uk’s next generation of events follows up CHAIRSMISSING with its next instalments of firebrand rock, visiting bands and deliberate genre bending.

The Electric Circus features a mish mash of art, electronica, different cities and headshrinking sounds, but all with one common theme – cutting edge excitement… Continuing our residency at The Castle in Oldham, we celebrate the 20th gig of The electric Circus, one year after its launch at IN THE CITY 2003 – from Youth Movie Soundtrack Strategies, Part Chimp and Transelement, to The Longcut, Nine Black Alps and the newly NME celebrated Loose Canon, The Electric Circus retains its underground charm and remains open to anyone – just so long as they like good music. It doesn’t matter what kind of haircut you’ve got… What kind of pants you wear... Who you hang out with. …no labels..

DOORS: 9.00 until late  ENTRY :  £3 -  Door

MOCO

There’s not a lot we can say – If you need it explaining then you most probably don’t understand – Moco are back – fresh from the US college circuit and launching their debut album   :

“…Moco are already perfect, visually speaking - the time-honoured band-as-gang motif, each member providing a simple, but valuable role - but let's not waste time intellectualising this band - live, they are beyond superlative - 40 minutes pass like 4, every song unequivocally fantastic, trying to out-do the last for breathtaking exhilaration...”

JACKIE O

Webpage: http://www.skinnydogrecords.com

JACKIEO have played a handful of chaotic gigs which have earned them the moniker of "First Class Punk Rock 'n' Roll Agitators" "…Had David Lynch directed his energies into fashioning a rock group rather than Playstation II ads, then it would have doubtless turned out to be the enigmatic JACKIEO…"

POLITBURO

Webpage: http://www.politburostateradio.co.uk

“…Put them in the context of some pretty shattered, ultra dark textures and non-standard arrangements and it sounds like a beast that has got lost in the woods and ending up growing up there….”
