The last time we held an event at The Star & Garter  the NME described the experience as “….the sound of the universe being opened up to all possibilities..”  Hopefully this years Electric Circus acts may do the same .  The Electric Circus is following up the Chairsmissing legacy with its continuing instalments of established and unknown cross genre acts.

Decoration:

Three parts Bolton, one part London, Decoration are winning over hearts and minds with their incendiary live sets and a fair smattering of radio play (Radio 1, 6Music, OK Radio Bremen, etc). "If I was the multimillionaire - I wish I was, I would sign these boys," says John Peel, who aired the band's debut Peel Session in April 2004 and has them pencilled in for a second one towards the end of the year. With a sound that shares a cramped box room with The Buzzcocks and The Smiths, the 15th Sept sees them live 'on air' to play and be interviewed on Resonance FM. They've played London's ICA, 93 Feet East and The Water Rats, while their Club Fandango double whammy and more recently a gig at the Cockpit, Leeds, indoctrinated a swarm of new fans

The Bang Bang Club:

Fronted by the  enigmatic and talented 16 year old, Sara Hawley, currently under the wing of Gordon Raphael (Strokes Producer), who produced her latest  demo - Sara and the Bands brand of accessible alt.rock is uncompromising as it is packed with tunes.

'Sara's voice has more tone and power per square inch than other singers can ever think about' - Gordon Raphael

'stamps her out as potentially one of the most capable singers we're likely to come across - 'an amazing benchmark that few other bands have managed to achieve, even with experience under their belt'

Glass  :

www.glasshq.com

Fiendishly capable howls which soar with the best of them, but there’s something there’s just that little bit out of the ordinary with the live Kraftwerk rhythms, unnerving jangles and creeping bass lines.

"...’Gun In A Paper Bag’ has a promising, P J Harvey style punch, but it's the lyric-lite 'Sugar' thats the stand out …”  CITY LIFE
