Ladies and gentlemen, after our first gig at the Star and Garter to herald the release of the Sonar Yens Album, we can honestly say we had the best time ever.  Packed, beer flowing and NME coverage  proclaiming that we experienced “….the sound of the universe being opened up to all possibilities..” . The Electric Circus is following up the Chairsmissing legacy with it’s continuing instalments of established and unknown cross genre acts.

The 14th May brings us eclectic experiences and hardcore guitars and all sorts of enjoyable melodies. It’s  an event. An experience and again, something different.

We have the ever excellent and recent Peel played TRANSELEMENT who are now getting some A&R bites from some quite interesting local and national labels. L-Dopa join us from their recent appearance at Club Fandango and the rising rock of Glass prepares for the next release on Soviet Union having been given some recent approval via Terry Christian. Our special guests are the rather incendiary Kubichek from Newcastle. You won’t be disappointed.

tRANSELEMENt

Transelement excited NME with an 8/10 review of their last EP :  “Stirring psychedelic punk rock – myriad tripped-out ideas suffused in strange melodies and surreal humour. …elsewhere, moody mangled guitars recall the cathartic fury of Joy Division or Mogwai…”. Currently back on John Peel’s radar and playlist

Kubichek

“swagger and slice through their repertoire with a seemingly unquenchable thirst for adrenalised retro new wave – a convention busting call to arms”

L-Dopa

From Manchester! Named after a drug that works against Parkinson's Disease  - but you’ll want to  twitch frantically to L-Dopas garage punk with heavyweight melodics - cool stuff.

Glass

“fiendishly capable howls soar with the best of them but there’s something there’s just that little bit out of the ordinary with the live Kraftwerk rhythms, unnerving jangles and creeping bass lines”
